We’re seeing more and more from Nike Sportswear’s Spring 2011 Collection, and even while entirely new kicks, new hybrids and upgraded favorites are on the way, this might be the single biggest surprise of the season. Coming out of left field (or the west bleachers) is this huge run of Nike Sky Force 88 VNTG drops. We’d seen at least three colorways from this cult classic but it turns out a whopping TWELVE will be available soon! These drops can be d5ided into monochromatic uppers with white accents or white bases with select color hits, and you can see all of em when you click on the jump below. via chajinyoung.
Oregon is Nike central, so when the Nike Graphic Studio Show was opened during the Compound Gallery’s opening on the first Thursday of last September, it rece5ed the biggest crowd on an opening Thursday Nike LunarGlide 4 ever. Granted, if the Nike Graphic Studio Show was a traveling exhibit (hint, hint), Nike fanatics would come out in droves, and we’re certain those who attended last year’s events as well as a newer batch of the curious will attend the Nike Graphic Nike Zoom Elite 5 Studio Show 2.0, scheduled to open its doors on March 17th at a larger venue. This year’s focus will be on March Madness, pitting ‘Old School’ against ‘New School’ in a sick display of Nike creat5ity created by a select group of Nike designers. Additionally, proceeds from the event will benefit Self Enhancement, Inc.. Will you attend? Jot down the event information and don’t miss out.
Here’s a look at a croc-skin/tiger-striped Air Max 85, the seventh Air Max 85 Bespoke done at Nike Harajuku during the four-day Bespoke pop-up event. The toe and heel feature the luxurious Nike Free Powerlines croc-skin while the center panel, toebox, and lace-placket featured the fierce white/black tiger-stripes, with reptilian texture on the swoosh. Baseball stitching is placed on all the seams on the toebox and heel panel as well. For Air Max 85s, the lace placket is typically the same material/color as the toe-box but this design flips that trend and matches the tiger-stripe on the toe, g5ing that structural portion of the shoe a one-piece look. Take a look at the extra images after the jump and let us know which Nike Harajuku-born Bespoke is best thus far.
Is ‘Old Royal’ the new ‘it’ colorway for the Free Run Brand line? Thus far, the Air Free Run X, Free Run CMFT Air Max 10, and now the Free Run X Auto Clave will feature this slick combination of White and Old Royal, so the question is – What other Air Free Run shoe will this colorway look great on? The Air Free Run XI? How about an Air Free Run 5 ‘Old Royal’? It’s a simple tandem of colors that exudes that collegiate flavor (it’s pretty much a ‘Kentucky’ colorway, but we all know UK is a LeBron-outfitted squad), g5ing the Free Run X Auto Clave a nice sporty flavor after the more lifestyle inspired tonal January 2012 releases. More angles await you below, so take a look and let us know what you think.
