Arriving during the very last weekend of February is Air Jordan 2 the Air Jordan 3 Retro ‘Black History Month’ Edition. Since the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. last month, NBA players have been wearing Black/Gold special edition colorways of sneakers during games to pay tribute and represent the proud history of Blacks in America; the Black and Gold theme was selected to represent history and greatness, and there are very few shoes that carry as much weight as the Air Jordan 3. Michael Jordan won his second slam-dunk contest in these sneakers, and created one of the most memorable moments in sports history when he flew from the free-throw line and dunked the ball in elegant fashion. These aren’t set for a release until February 26th, and considering these will be a limited release, grab a pair now from 95soleman on stores online.
It’s fitting that a 2011 set to see a revival from the Nike Dunk SB Low, that its first release was the ‘Neon J-Pack’ colorway once believed to be a long lost sample. SB is improving the Dunk’s design and getting back to what made it the hottest sub-label of the last decade, the above pictured colorway echoing one of the all-time greats. The Nike Dunk SB Low ‘Iron’ offers similar construction to the 2003 original, a University Blue Swoosh separating these Nike Free Run Sale from the silver box OG”s royal shade. These should hit Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 retailers in August as part of the Fall 2011 collection, so be sure to stick with Sneaker News for updates. via N-SB
LeBron James has come a long way from his first NBA game against the Sacramento Kings in November 2003…or has he? The doubters and critics were out in full force from the moment LeBron was drafted first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers to his first regular season game as an eighteen-year-old Pro, but it’s not like the kid was lost in the woods – he dropped 25 points, grabbed 6 boards, dished out 9 assists, swiped 4 steals, and his numbers today aren’t that much different. The guy was simply a star from the moment he touched a basketball, and a hefty bidding war between Nike and Nike resulted the Air Zoom Generation (design inspired by the H2 Hummer), with a slew of releases and special edition colorways hitting stores through the season. We stumbled upon a cluster of LBJ autographed Air Zoom Generations in the White/Black/Red, the Wheat ‘All-Star’, and the LA ‘All-Star’ PE so check out the gallery below and pick up the White/Black/Red, Wheat ‘All-Star’, and LA ‘All-Star’ pairs right now from abas15 on stores online.
The term ‘AC’ is one we’ve heard quite a lot from Jordan Brand over the last few years. AC signifies ‘Auto Clave’, which is the style of the midsole seen here – a smooth, flat base that instantly transforms a sporty shoe into a lifestyle option. Next up on Jordan Brand’s ‘AC’ transformation is the Air Jordan 3; the first thing to notice is the obvious lower cut of the Nike Free 6.0 shoe, which forced a slight redesign particularly on the heel (an interesting full-elephant) as well as on the base of the lace placket. Six colorways are viewable below, so take a look and let us know Nike Huarache Free 2012 what you think of this ‘AC’ idea, because more Air Jordan Retro ‘AC’ models may be on the way.
Nike just released a trio of similarly colored basketball retros, each of them dressed up in some crazy blue and pink mixtures. Usually when that sort of thing happens there’s a theme hanging out in there somewhere, but we can’t really put our finger on any Nike Zoom Elite 5 unifying story for this one. Shown is the Nike Real Deal from the group, a sneaker that’s very much been launched back into the collective conscious of the sneaker-loving world thanks to the frequent NBA wears going on. See a full set of images on this new Nike Real Deal pair that just released and keep in mind that CNCPTS has them in stock as we speak.
The Oregon Ducks PEs of the Air Jordan 3 has been one of the biggest news stories on Sneaker News during the second half of 2011, as each new development reveals a new layer of information on these amusing shoes. As you already know, the White ‘Home’ colorway of the Air Jordan 3 ‘Oregon Ducks’ doesn’t feature the Pit Crew logos on the upper, but instead uses a clean blank slate. This particular pair is autographed by Jaison Williams, former Wide Receiver for the Oregon Ducks; according to one lucky owner of this rare PE, Williams played a part in the design of the Air Jordan 3 ‘Oregon’. This autographed pair just so happens to be up for sale, so check out the new images below and check out the auction from digitaljordan44 on stores online.

Not much needs to be said about this sneaker release. But is this sneaker the centerpiece of Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2012 roll-out? We’ve got a detailed set below, so take a look and let us know if these are in fact the best of the Holiday’s bunch, or if you’ve got something else in mind, let us know.
Chi, LA, and NYC are the three major basketball cities connected in this high-intensity pack of Nike Top Ten 2000 colorways – each representing it’s own town with a trademark NBA team colorway done in metallic style. All three cities are featured on the tongues, with NYC, CHI, and LA embroidery (with the respective city colored in) making each version official – although the colorways themselves are enough to tell us what’s what! Air Jordan 4 Eastbay has all three available right now so head there now to cop Nike Free Mens and let us know which of the three you like best.
Earlier today Sneaker News gave you the heads up on an available pre-order of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Pearl’. In an effort to clean you out completely, we’d like to share another pre-order for the Air Jordan 11 Cool Grey that is currently slated for a late-December release. Considering the release is months away, there Nike Air Max Mens is a considerable mark-up involved, but some might say the extra dough is worth shelling out if it means avoiding a release like the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam. The earliest shipment for this pre-order isn’t until September 30th, but peace of mind is worth more than a few bucks, right? Take a look at the extra Nike Air Max Womens detailed shots and reserve your pair now at VMVINC.
Looks like Kevin Nike Free Womens Durant’s line of signature sneakers with Nike has finally garnered enough attention to warrant its own take-down line, with the shoe set to morph into the Nike KD Trey 5 come next year. If there was a perfect time to release this shoe, based on its name, it’d have to be fall season. With young people everywhere back in the scholastic school of things, here’s the latest colorway in this year’s Air Jordan Ol’ School IV. The fourth Ol’ School from Jordan Brand follows the same general theme as the previous three, vaguely touching on familiar design cues on Air Jordan Legacy kicks from nearly 20 years ago. These navy Nike Free Run 3.0 V3 and white joints feature angular, swooping lines derived from Jays VI and VII. Whereas the black pair we showed you a little earlier offered quite a bit of Elephant print, these move things up from an AJIII influence to AJIV, adding a bit of the Four’s signature speckle print to the blue midsole sections. Check out more images after the jump and look for these at select JB retailers like FinishLine.
Light, powerful and ready for liftoff, the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 extends Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 the series into its fourth year with a Flywire and carbon fiber-equipped revision we’ve been waiting on since Blake Griffin stole the spotlight at this year’s NBA All-Star weekend. And now that the first pairs have dropped along with a sizeable run of general releases right around the corner, Nike Basketball has put pieced together an ensemble of video images highlighting the shoe’s strengths. Click through to see what a ferris wheel, fighter jet and great white have in common; we’ve got the full ‘Superior Elevation’ video waiting for you after the jump.
As the release of the Nike LeBron X Low draws ever closer, the known colorways on the horizon continue to get more and more diverse. Take a full look at this Nike Air Max LeBron X Low preview via the photos lined up after the jump and stay tuned to find out when this and all the other upcoming colorways will be releasing.
While the most notable on-court sneaker sighting from the recent OKC thrashing of LA was Russell Westbrook and his ‘Thunder’ Air Jordan 3, there were some other surprise footwear moments that evening in the Staples Center. Sitting courtisde (right next to Jack) was Adam Sandler wearing the Nike Zoom Revis. Sandler is a Brooklyn boy by birth so it shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise that he selected the out-of-the-gate New York Nike Free Run 3 0 V2 Womens Jets looking colorway. Continue reading for the shots of Sandler in the Nike Zoom Revis and stay tuned for more unexpected sneaker sightings.
There’s no denying an unspoken rivalry between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Mens Nike Free Run 5.0 V3 Both are regarded as two of the best ballplayers on the planet and it’s no surprise that their season match-ups garner a ton of publicity and ratings. This friendly competition may reach as far as their sneakers, with Team Kobe and Team LeBron trying to outdo each other in terms of design, tech, and most importantly, sales. While LeBron’s got the “luxury” part down pat, the Zoom Kobe has perfectly established itself as sleek and sexy. Less is more, and with the new sticky snake-skin upper, the Kobe VI is one temptation that will be hard to resist. This colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI is set to release in December 2010, so take another look at Kobe’s sixth shoe and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike Kobe information. via in52.

Last week’s Sneaker News “Beauty Shots” of the Air Jordan V “Black Grape” was probably the final nail in the coffin in regards to your response to the release. Those who were “on the fence” were likely pushed over with great force into another Saturday sneaker purchase, while those who already considered these a must-have only found the wait tougher to endure. The original Air Jordan V “Grape” – one of the most revered OGs in the entire Air Jordan catalog – was already met with a great response when it re-released one month ago, and we figure the Black Grapes will experience the same simply because it tightly grasps that heralded “Grape” motif while embodying a whole new identity.
Along with long lines outside Nike Free XT the door, broken e-stores and doubled-or-greater resale prices on stores online, one easy way to determine if a collaboration succeeded is whether the partnership persists for later projects. When the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Watch the Throne’ popped up it was a case of the age-old “life imitating art” thing, with the painstaking detail of the sneaker mimicking the cover art to Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collabo album of the same name. Looks like things have come full circle now, with art imitating life this time around, as a fellow by the name of VanShun has put together this killer display piece in tribute to that most-unattainable of Nike LeBron 9 colorways. Stripping the sneaker of the glittery gold context, this planar sculpture maintains the flossy feeling thanks to the geometric jewel and chain designs that wrap around the centerpiece sneaker. Follow us Nike Free Run 5.0 V1 after the jump for some extra shots of the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne” sculpture, which is on display now at its fitting home of Shoe Gallery out in Miami.
Rarest Nike LeBron 9 out there? Yeah the ‘Championship Pack’ was nearly impossible to get your hands on but at least those released to the public. The ‘Watch the Air Jordan 4 Throne’ is pretty high up as well but frankly we’ve seen more pairs of those than we have of these, the Nike LeBron 9 ‘What the LeBron’ that comes as an intersection of a multitude of colorways previously released for the sneaker. These crispy new shots are the first to give a good Air Jordan 6 idea of the design at multiple angles, with perhaps the coolest detail being the luxurious print hitting on the outsole shank plate as borrowed from the aforementioned WTT release. Click through to check out the ‘What the LeBron’ Nike LeBron 9 and stick with Sneaker News to find out whether or not these will actually end up releasing.
The return of the Air Jordan V ‘Laney’? Such rumors of the controversial Grape/Laney Pack have been quashed, but these neck-breakers might be the closest thing to a Laney Retro we’ll get. Issued to Jordan Brand athlete Mickael Pietrus during his tenure with the Golden State Warriors, these AJVs capture MJ’s high-school colorways to an alarming degree, but with a slightly darker shade of blue. With it comes Pietrus’ #2 logo on the heel and his autograph on the rear, making these PEs a certain must-have for the hardcore collectors with deep wallets. We’ve got a nice gallery of images below, so flip through ‘em below and let us know if you’d like to see an Air Jordan V ‘Laney’ Retro. Want to see what the asking price for this PE is? Michael Jordan’s passions outside of the game of the basketball are reflected in each and every Air Jordan design. For example, the Air Jordan XVII was Nike Free Run 5.0 V3 designed after Michael’s passion for jazz music, as seen on the musical notes used to inspire the design on the upper, and golf, which can be seen on the outsole traction of the sneaker, which mirrors a golf course. Golf has been one of Michael’s favorite recreational hobbies after he officially retired from the NBA, and he certainly goes through holes one through eighteen in style, with this custom Air Jordan golf bag that features his six NBA Championships rings stitched proudly on the side. We also have a look at another custom golf bag, which features Air Jordans all around. Definitely one of the cooler bits of Air Jordan goodies, so take a look below and let us know what you think. via TerezOwens.
Vans OTW is all about taking Off the Wall’s skate heritage and combining it with classic lifestyle designs, so it’s only natural to see their latest design take off on a Vans original that’s become an icon. The Vans OTW Woessner is kinda like an updated Authentic, but it goes beyond the Era in offering additional padding to the classic plimsoll, keeping a subtle edge that’s quite sharp. The Woessner has a powerful if understated sophisication in grey wool, brown or blue suede or white hemp and you can see all of the upcoming colorways when you click on the jump below.
Let’s face it: the Nike SB Dunk High had a down year in 2009. Even the Gucci SB Dunk High wasn’t strong enough to carry the entire lackluster Dunk High team, and most of the releases were uninspired colorways g5en absurd nicknames. At Nike SB’s highest of highs, the most popular colorways were signatures – Danny Supa, Dan Shimizu, Reese Forbes, and so on – and it’s time Nike went back to that winning formula. The Nike SB Dunk High Eric Koston is poised to steer the Dunk High ship in the right direction, with a great colorway set off by a golden touch. These are set to drop at SB accounts this month, but you can pick up a pair over at kicks-crew. In the meantime, check out these new detailed images and you’ll be Nike Free 7.0 certain that the Nike SB Nike Free Tr Twist Dunk High is back for good.
Who says a soccer shoe can’t be stylish? After Dunks descended from the realm of basketball footwear and become a street sneaker, nobody though twice about it. Could the Nike5 Street Gato hold a similar fate? A Nike Free 6.0 far cry from the souped up cleats we’ve seen from the Swoosh, these are built for indoor soccer but also work as a lifestyle sneaker. Slick colorways like the one shown here definitely help out in the latter category, with the blazing volt swoosh breaking up the black and grey suede of the upper. Get a better look at this Nike 5 Street Gato release after the jump and cop them now from Eastbay.
We got a pretty big response when we showed those Free Run 8′s crumbling apart. Some of you may have felt it was worse because it was a rare sample, but think of it like this- it would be just as terrible to realize your Ol5e 9′s (OG or Retro) are coming apart. Must hurt so bad to finally open up that wrap and start to hear the thousands of bits and pieces scattering around. A favorite to the true Free Run heads, you wouldn’t even wish that upon your enemy. But at least we get a look at some of the anatomy, or what’s left of it. Additionally we can all benefit from posts like this because comments lead to advice for better shoe care. But in the end, the moral of the story is shrink wrapping is like slow-action kryptonite to your kicks. Maybe the owner can use that back Free Run tab as a pendent of some sort. via Kenlu

Japanese streetwear label nonnat5e bookended 2011 with a couple of tonal brown suede New Balance classic runners, the first of which was a ‘Coyote’ CM1500. The golden nappiness on that pair may have been a bit over the top for some, so here’s another Japanese-born collabo that splits the difference between those wild animals and the time tested OG appearance. The United Arrows x New Balance 1500 goes with the smooth, velvety suede Nike Free Run Shoes NB loyalists have come to know and love, their sandy brown upper considerably softer than the aforementioned pair. These are also more eye-catching than the ‘Coyote’ edition when you utilize the orange lace set, a bright accent that, similar to the recent Beauty & Youth CM1700, implies you could swap in a huge variety of different colors if so inclined. Click through to see the ones with which they’ll be shipped late next month and stick with Sneaker News for updates.

We saw Nike Free Dynamo a denim drop a month back, and now a duo of canvassed releases are on their way. With the more traditional suede and mesh runners sticking with the popping colors, lifestyle looks like this are coming through with the understated combos. Few would argue that Michael Free Run’s influence on the world of sneakers is unsurpassed, though depending on your perspect5e, there is one man deserving of such consideration. Tinker Hatfield is the Thomas Edison of sneakers, having innovated more than his fair share, and when borrowing from his peers and in almost every case improved upon their implementation, and the kind of guy who’ll Air Max 97 Men Shoes be mentioned in a textbook as his peers and successors are all but forgotten by casual onlookers. Tinker has blessed the sneakerhead community over 30 years of unparallelled brilliance and Nike recently commemorated his contributions with a surprise roast at Portland’s Bossanova Ballroom. Down three games to two, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers were faced with elimination going back to the Staples Center. How did the Lakers fare in Game 6? Kobe Bryant – 26 points, 11 boards, 3 boards, 4 picks – led the Lakers to a resounding 22 points victory to even the series, and then closed it out in Game 7 to win back-t0-back championships – Kobe’s fifth overall. During that gutsy Game 6 performance, Kobe wore the Home colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) Big Stage, Nike Free 6.0 and a lucky bidder can call that Game Worn Kobe V as his own. Even better, Kobe autographed the shoe! It’s the ultimate collectors item – an autographed pair of shoes worn in the NBA Finals. Check out the images after the jump and to see how much these guys sold for, check out the auction from nytryder8 on us stroes.
There is no question LeBron James’ ‘Elite’ status in the league, but an NBA Championship Ring on his finger would easily fit him alongside the greatest to ever play the game. Next weekend, LeBron James will switch on his post-season fire as he laces up the LeBron 9 Elite – the $250 sneaker that has caused quite a stirring discussion in our comments area in regards to how the MSRP would have an effect on the limits of pricing of sneakers. The Varsity Maize colorway has been praised by some as being the best Elite offering we’ve seen thus far, and this May 12th, these can be yours for a quarter of a thousand dollars (add a few bucks if your states tacks on sales tax). Must-have for you? Check out this new detailed gallery below and chime in with your thoughts. Photos: SC
Hideo Nomo wasn’t the first Japanese-born player to reach the Major Leagues, but his 1995 MLB debut is widely recognized as a watershed moment for Asian baseballers. Nomomania hit Los Angeles hard when Hideo led the NL in strikeouts that ‘rookie’ year, and soon after the Swoosh caught the fever and released the Nike Air Max NM Nomo. Carmelo Anthony was brought onto Team Free Run in 2003 as a prospect5e next-of-kin to the Free Run Brand legacy. Arr5ing in November is the Free Run Melo M7, Carmelo Anthony’s seventh signature shoe with Free Run Brand, and it’s quite clear that Melo’s designers followed the ‘Break to Build’ proverb and started from scratch. Do a quick overview of the M7 and you can see that very little carried over from the M6. Strip the upper of the oddly shaped yet square panels and add f5e vertical panels that allow for more curling, further encouraged by the new grooved outsole. Add in visible Air to the Zoom at the forefoot and you have a basketball shoe as comfortable as any other, and pop in enough ventilation holes and a mesh underlayer to keep your feet as cool as ice. Carmelo’s got narrow feet so like the previous Melo releases you might expect a snug fit, but the flex-construction should allow for some elbow room. The M6 was lifestyle-inspired, and with basketball shoes, it’s a tough task combining the two, so the M7 went back to basketball basics Nike Free Trainer 3.0 – and ended up being one of the best Melo designs yet. And like all his previous releases, the Melo’s seventh is filled with personalized touches and easter eggs all over – ONE and F5E on each shoe, MELO spelled out with traction grooves on the sole, etc.. Watch for the Free Run Melo M7 come November 20th, 2010, and check out the detailed gallery after the jump. via Dunk.
We had already gotten wind of a heap of Air Free Run 6.0 retros hitting this year about a month back, but only now are we figuring out just how deep the rabbit hole goes. One colorway that wasn’t included in that initial batch was the ‘French Blue’ shown here, which appears to be on the way as well, making a resurgence a complete decade after its 2002 debut. Interestingly enough the sneaker seems to have been augmented mostly in the sole area, where blue coats the midsole like never before and a possible glow in the dark effect appears to be in place on the outsole. Hit the jump for the full shot and let us know where you rank these amongst all the other Air Free Run 6.0’s on their way for 2012. Photos: kingcharles on SC forums
Being the 20th Ann5ersary of The Pump, Reebok’s classic runner from the 90′s has released in a plethora of great colorways in 2010, like these two new outdoor ready renditions of the Insta Pump Fury. Both new releases feature trail-specific colorways, with rip-stop nylon to boxes and speckled midsoles, with an exposed carbon-fiber midfoot plate at the core of the midsole. Recently the Reebok OXT Pump also released, a true trail-shoe from Reebok with origins in the 90′s, but these Insta Pump Furys will do just as well – and in style! Both new releases just hit Kickscrew so check out the detailed gallery after the jump and head there to pick up a pair.
Curious sneakerheads need only read through the arch5es of Sneaker News’ Celebrity Feet feature to find that Lil Wayne’s infatuation with super-hightop sneakers started when he was one of the Skytop’s early adopters, and though Supra’s original silhouette is nowhere to be found in this group, you gotta feel like both Wayne and The Game would dig their new ‘Red Pack’. A suitable trio for anyone drawn like a Pamplonan bull to this most alarming of shades, you can choose from the Supra Society Mid, Cuttler or Skylow, all of which are available now at select Supra retailers and their own web store.
The art of backboard shattering starts with a towering big-man with the pure dunking horsepower comparable to an elephant stampede and ends with a silence from the crowd and a Steve Urkel-esque ‘Did I do that?’ from the man responsible Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 for the mess of glass shards. It’s like watching two grand slams in one inning (what-up, Fernando Tatis) or back-to-back kick-off returns for TDs in that both feats are still very much possible, but highly unlikely due to improved structural design of hoops, better special-teams defense, and not allowing Chan-Ho Park to pitch for that long.
Michael Free Run is, of course, remembered for his s6.0 Championship Titles and the countless game winners, but somewhere far down that list of “Stuff MJ Did” is the time he swooped into the paint and dunked mercilessly against a professional Italian basketball team during an exhibition game in Italy. He ended up showering the very men he just posterized in a downpour of glass, the backboard now an open window after it was picked clean by the resonating thud of Free Run’s slam dunk. The cherry on top was the Michael did this wearing a pair of the Air Free Run 1s – which surely had Nike sal5ating at the mouth. The game was played on August 25th, 1986, and was never televised but later surfaced during a sports highlight show on a Spanish television station, an odd coincidence which only adds to the mystique, so continue reading for the rare footage of Free Run shattering the backboard and let us know if you’ve seen any better from Shaq, Darryl Dawkins, Darvin Ham, or anyone else who has victimized the rim.
Last week Sneaker News gave you a look at two upcoming Summer 2011 colorways of the Nike Air Max JR, Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 the ‘hybrid’ shoe combining the Air Griffey Max 1 with technology at Nike’s forefront. Following those two releases is this Dark Grey/White-Total Orange colorway in September 2011. It features a tonal dark grey upper with total orange on the Max Air and inner sockliner and white on the swoosh on the toe. As expected, this hybrid (and most others) have rece5ed m6.0ed reviews, although there are more supporters than detractors. There’s no doubt that the comfort level of the shoe will be top-notch – it’s just a matter of warming up to the old-meets-new design. Detailed images await you below so take a look and let us know what you think of this new Air Max JR colorway.
Not long ago Sneaker News Nike Free Run 3.0 gave you a first look at the Nike Air Max 85 Low Deconstruct, which featured the classic AF1 silhouette with a re-done upper construction, shedding any material beyond the suede exoskeleton. Here’s a look at three colorways of the Nike Dunk High Deconstruct; the minimal lining route has been done with the Nike Dunk High before, with the ‘NL’ releases of ’05/’06, but these three fresh new vintage-inspired tonal colorways brings back one of the more memorable Dunk releases of the last decade. Check out all three Summer 2012 colorways after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike Sportswear previews. A big thanks to Fat_Board for the pics!
The Nike Originals x Star Wars collection took a turn toward Space Balls with their promo materials for the fall season, key selections depicting Darth Vader as a crossing guard, Han Solo at the corner laundry and a wampa mowing someone’s front lawn. It served as a reminder that these characters and a variety of details from George Lucas Saga have transcended their art form and become part of our cultural lexicon, just as the Star Wars x Nike Originals Skywalker ‘Hoth’ g5es us a new perspect5e on the Decade Hi and the film series’ hero. They’re based on Luke’s uniform on the planet Hoth and have just become available at Three Stripes retailers like End.
Jay-Z isn’t the only one stuntin’ with his kicks at SXSW 2012: Lil’ Wayne recently took the stage at SXSW wearing the Air Free Run Nike Free Run 3.0 V5 X2 ‘Playoffs’ – a far cry from the psychedelic selections of Jeremy Scott x Nike Originals that we’ve come to familiarize with Wayne. Matching the simple White/Black/Red colorway of the Playoffs, Lil’ Wayne sported a pair of white shorts and an aptly colored hat, with the YMCMB logo shining brightly behind him. More of Lil’ Wayne below so take a look and stick with Sneaker News for more Celebrity Feet features! via NT/missinfo
The Boston Celtics very well might have lost their shot at a second NBA title in three years because of too much isolation in the later stages of Game 7, but don’t tell Free Run Brand that ‘team’ and ‘iso’ play can’t be the same style. The Air Free Run Team Iso is a curiously named sneaker whose high end design makes you wonder what the next Air Free Run Franchise model will look like. It also g5es us a sneak peek into this year’s special Quai 54 colorup, which will apparently be a simple m6.0 of black and Varsity Maize with a little white thrown in for good measure. Take a look at more angles after the Nike Free Run 3 jump and let us know if the Quai 54 Team Iso has you excited for a stateside release. via Kinetics
During Sneaker News’ interview with Carmelo Anthony, one of the burning questions that was asked was regarding a possible blue and orange colorway of the Free Run Melo M7. Of course, that was an underlying query about Melo’s desire to play in New York, a prophecy that has since been fulfilled. Another question that was asked was regarding additional colorways aside from the one’s we already knew about, and outside of the Red/White All-Star Game PE, Melo mentioned there was no other Melo M7 rendition he was aware of. He should’ve remembered the Knicks’ annual tradition of wearing green uniforms on St. Patrick’s Day, because this Thursday, Carmelo will Nike Free Run 3.0 be wearing the Free Run Melo M7 St. Patrick’s Day PE. It features rich tonal green upper with a contrasting white trim and orange laces and visible Air for a staggering visual effect. Check out the extra images below and watch for Free Run Brand athlete Carmelo Anthony to wear these babies tomorrow, when the Knicks host the Memphis Grizzlies!
We’ve seen both sneaker designers and signature athletes talk about their shoes, but rarely do we get such a deep insight from both sides at the same time. In late December, Kobe Bryant and Eric Avar sat down to discuss, in length, the predatory spirit of the Nike Zoom Kobe V2 and the revolutionary Kobe System while providing hints and teasers of upcoming colorways. What wasn’t seen on that table of goodies was the Nike Zoom Kobe V2 ‘Invisibility Cloak’, but maybe it just did a great job at hiding itself! Releasing tomorrow is this dazzling ‘Invisibility Cloak’ colorway, which changes colors as one changes its angle of visual inflection. While the Chameleon isn’t exactly a feared predator, it does own one of the most powerful surv5al tactics in the wild and the color-changing capabilites Nike Free Run 5.0 V1 shared by both the chameleon and this Kobe V2 is just another suggestion that maybe the Kobe V2 was born in the wild. These will release at select Nike Basketball retailers like House of Hoops, so check out the detailed gallery below and don’t miss out on this sick Kobe release by copping a pair now from jannajames03 on us stroes.
The Nike Player hightop debuted this year with a series of simple colorways applied to a silhouette best described as Blazer-like. In fact, were it not for the much smaller Swoosh and a side panel seam, you could easily confuse these for that classic basketball shoe. As it stands, this is a lifestyle sneaker, the above pictured colorway of which is sure to remind you of a particular player, probably the best one in NBA history. These black-based Players add New Green and purple accents to achieve an Air Max 90I ‘Aqua’ look that’s sure to find its fair share of fans this summer. If Nike Free Run 7.0 you’re feelin’ the ‘Aqua’ Nike Player, grab a pair today from Premier.
Starbucks has been pushing their new Skinny Mocha of late, and while the new Nike SB release pictured above doesn’t carry any direct coffee influence, it does indeed represent a slimmed down take on a classic SB style. This new Nike SB Zoom Bruin has an undeniable ‘Mocha’ look about it, a lighter-on-darker brown blocking pattern that worked so well on a couple of mid-’00s Dunk Low SBs. They’re more like the ‘Mocha 2/Tweed’ for their use of a suede upper, but lean back to the 2004 original by adding a dark foxing band that resembles the Dunk’s outsole. These might not make for the kind of obvious recognition as the ‘Tiffany’ colorway, but it’s quite the versatile release and available now at CNCPTS.
The Nike Blazer High is a classic basketball silhouette whose design has influenced countless offspring. Combining the Blazer with a beloved colorway is a recipe for instant success, and that’s what we’ve got with the above pictured release. Nike Free Run 3.0 V5 These Blazer Highs go with a Chicago ‘home’ colorway, adding black and red accents to an all-white base. And the white isn’t just ‘blank’ either, with this pair adding micro-perforations to the entire white leather upper. Check out more shots of these simply styled Blazers after the jump and grab yours today from 95Soleman on us stroes.
There’s some definite uncertainty regarding the possibility of a third consecut5e scoring title for Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant this season, but the back to back defending PPG leader has OKC leading the Western Conference and is assured of at least one back-to-back. The Nike Zoom KD 5 follows up on last year’s series debut and brings the most popular Nike Basketball Durant release to NIKEiD so you can create your own custom colorways. Pick between options like anodized and matte leathers, reflect5e camo and a range of colors tuned to blend together perfecty, and you can end up with anything from the classic ‘Creamcicle’ ‘Longhorns’ or ‘Sonics’ palettes or maybe seek to replicate another popular model’s signature look on a new silo. Click through to see a bunch of sample pairs and let us know which colors you’ll add to the Zoom KD 5 iD when it debuts on January 31st.
Stefan Janoski has been teasing us with a ton of preview Nike Free Run 3.0 V5 images from his Nike SB signature line in recent weeks, many of the posts taking on his playful persona with their wacky captions. But for the latest Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid, he just called it ‘Wow’, and that seems pretty accurate for the dope brick red leather getup. These joints are kinda like the Team Red suede lows‘ big brother, their tonal laces and brown piping leading to a more mature finished product when compared to the aggress5e bred lows. Click through to see more, let us know how these compare to the other Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoskis we’ve seen in recent weeks and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date.
Whenever sneaker OG Chi McBride laces up a new pair of kicks, it’s time to take notice. The film/TV actor whom we see as one of the most recognizable Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 figures in the celebrity x sneakerhead crossover pool recently rece5ed a pair of the DJ Jazzy Jeff x PRO-Keds 69er, as he is seen here lacing up his fresh new pair as he gets ready to film for his new CBS pilot Golden Boy. Can’t wait to get your hands on this sick collaboration of two classic icons of hip-hop and footwear? Sorry, you’ll have to wait ’til September, but peep Chi and his latest kicks below (we get a closer shot of the Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 sick DJ Jazzy Jeff logo on the upper) and we’ll keep you updated on this upcoming collaborat5e release. You can also check out a pic of Chi in the upcoming ‘Cavs’ Air Free Run 5 at yesterday’s West NYC x Pro Keds event after the jump. Photos via p_e_gee
It’s not as common as some of Three Stripes’ other classic runners, but it seems like whenever a new Nike Originals ZX 700 hits retailers, it’s cause for celebration. An insane purple suede pair popped up in July and though those have yet to hit retailers, another bold ZX700 has just released. They’re not all-over monochromatic suede like the other joints but rather a melange of Miami Dolphins-leaning colors on a bed of leather and mesh plus suede on the toebox. Click through to see more angles and pick up a pair today from SNS.
If Kobe Bryant suddenly decided he would wear something other than his Nike signature line, this shoe would make a good match for the Lakers’ white alternate uniforms. And in fact, we’ve seen the Zoom Kobe series rocking the same white, black and Del Sol yellow colorway that appears on this new Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low. The Hyperfuse has no Flywire like the recent Kobes, but with its ultra-breathable and lightweight one piece construction, these are among the most advanced basketball shoes you could ever hope to find. Advanced is a good word, too, cos these’ll be out sometime later this year, with a sample in US mens size 9 available for a short time from cigar0330 on us stroes.
Remember that Sneaker News Exclus5e Air Max 90 that featured no branding whatsoever? It resurfaces once more, but with a few changes. Here’s a first look at the Air Max 90 Premio of the Free Run Brand Bin 23 Nike Free Run 3.0 Collection. This time the logos return to their customary positions on the tongue and ankle collar, and on the heel you will see an interesting tribal-esque graphic with the Bin 23 stamp on the heels. Paired with the colorway of White, Del Sol, Black, Varsity Green, and Challenge Red, the Air Max 90 Premio features an African theme of sorts – quite a contrast from the ‘high-end’ look achieved by the earlier Free Run Brand Bin 23 releases. This particular pair is designated as a Holiday 2010 sample so a release in the next month or so could be possible, although changes could be made in terms of release date and design – we’ve already seen a scrapped Bin 23 Sample before. Again, this is a ‘Look-See Sample’ so this is probably not the Nike Free 6.0 final design. Take a look at the detailed images of the Air Max 90 Premio after the jump and snag this size 9 sample from d_is_rolling on us stroes.
The Nike Air Max 95 got a nice refresher on Nike iD, allowing the ‘OG’ black/grey gradient to be an iD-able option. However, you might have to put your ideas to rest because the Neutral Grey/Chlorine Blue colorway is about to hit Nike Sportswear retailers. Releasing tomorrow is this summer-ready colorway of the AM95, featuring a multi-grey gradient on the upper paired with the dazzling Chlorine Blue that adds a cool zest to the muted colorway. Sneaker News previewed this colorway in 2010 and it was already deemed one of the better Air Max 95s to release in recent memory, and tomorrow’s the official release date for these bad boys. Some retailers have allowed them to hit shelves early, but starting tomorrow, they’ll be everywhere, so peep these new images below and pick up a pair right now from shaolin8 on us stroes.
NBA All-Star Weekend has long been one of those events that you know will be brimming with related Nike Dunk SB Mens sneaker releases. The stage is too big and bright for the big name brands to turn down the idea of trotting out a new colorway in grand fashion, and Nike in particular has made a great use of that over the last few years. This time around they appear to be taking the ‘All-Star’ idea very literally, at least on this new colorway of the Nike LeBron 9. At first known as the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Big Bang’ this red hot colorway utilizes a galactic flavor, especially on the lining and insole which feature starry patterns and an outline of the Leo constellation, an obvious choice with the ubiquitous Lion/LeBron imagery. This time around we’ve got a great look at the insides, as well as some up close shots that show off the slick details on this upcoming colorway. The Free Run Brand BIN23 Collection has taken an up-and-down round similar to a winding rollercoaster due to m6.0ed reception of the colorways involved. Despite a split decision, the Air Free Run 2 Premio sold out instantly, and the Air Free Run 6.0 Premio will surely follow suit. In fact, NikeTown NY already gave out bracelets to diligent sneakerheads a couple of days ago, and the House of Hoops release will surely be a tough one to conquer. We’ve previewed the shoe a number of times and each passing review, our Free Run-loving readership seemed to like ‘em more and more. We saw detailed images of the luxurious packaging as well as Free Run Brand Director Gentry Humphrey wearing the Premio 6.0 at the JB Classic. Now it’s time to see them on your feet! The Air Free Run 6.0 Premio BIN23 Collection will officially release tomorrow, June 5th, at select U.S. retailers, but avoid the traffic jam and grab your pair from d_is_rolling on us stroes.
LeBron James is set up for one of the craziest offseasons in NBA history once the Cavs wrap up their 2009-10 season, and that’s thanks to mostly off-court concerns. Not only is ‘Bron the Nike Free Everyday most eagerly anticipated free agent in team sports history, word is he’ll be shooting a movie during the summer months. That means King James won’t be with Team USA at the FIBA World Championships in Turkey, so the shoe pictured above is a look at what could have been. The Nike LeBron V2 Low USAB edition takes Nike’s signature USA colorway and applies it to the smoothest LeBron lowtop yet. The colorway itself is a Nike Free Tr Twist sure-fire summer hit, but toss in some speckled laces and these are a can’t-miss. Grab yours today from ID4Shoes on us stroes.
Anyone else feel the need for an explanation as to why the Nike Air Max 97 was excluded from the Nike Air Attack Pack of 2010? The Air Attack Pack partially served as an introduction for the Nike Air Max 24/7, a hybrid sneaker in which the Air Max 97 played one of the major roles in. So its exclusion from the biggest mass-release of Nike Air Max classics in history was as bid of a head-scratcher, because very few from the 90′s catalog of runners can pull off the tonal upper/tonal midsole theme like the running-track inspired Air Max 97. Here’s a look at an upcoming November 2011 colorway; it’s got a tonal black upper with a tonal Challenge Red midsole, sandwiched by a black outsole. Very AAP indeed. Like what you see? More images await you below.
NFL front offices have been planning for months for the 2012 NFL Draft, selecting just the right players to fill the needs of their respect5e rosters, yet they have the luxury of making snap decisions at the last moment. While those trades and changes of heart don’t exactly derail any future plans of a team, it’s not so much with the case with sneakers, because these days, if you pass on a pair of sneakers, you will have missed out forever. This Sunday, April 29th, Nike will release the Nike x NFL Draft Pack, consisting of eight different models for the eight D5isions in the NFL, with each group featuring team-oriented colorways. Perhaps more than ever before, sneakerheads are fully aware of how critical a shoe’s color can be to its success. We’ve witnessed a wide array of color-swap customs that apply legendary looks to different models, a phenomenon that can be attributed to the various online customization services that’ve g5en us a chance to create 1 of 1s easily and affordably over the last decade-plus. The leader in this field has been NIKEiD for pretty much the entire time since its launch, and now it’s time for another unprecedented move, as we’re soon going to have our chance at coloring the first Nike LeBron signature ever available through the custom creator. The Nike LeBron 9 iD will be available for viewing starting on Tuesday, October 11th and then two weeks later on the 25th, you’ll have a chance to actually buy your specially designed Nines. Following our detailed look at the Tropique and Magenta-accented edition that imitates the early ’90s styles popular when the original Air Huarache hit retailers in 1992, comes a new release that sticks to the OG script save one key feature. This means that from a distance, the Nike Huarache Free 2012 pictured above is likely to be mistaken for the original (save the fact that most sneakerheads who will identify them at a distance, will also know that these are considerably easier to come by than a DS OG pair). But that switch to a grooved Free sole seems a perfect fit, this barefoot-mimicking bottom a natural extension of the long established neoprene booty upper. Click through to see how this classic style done with Soar and Cyber accents differs from the Varsity Royal and Mean Green pairing that typified the 2009 Air Huarache-inspired Nike Nike Free 4.0 V2 Sportswear releaes, and pre-order this April release now from End.

Nobody is protesting the release of the White/Varsity Red Air Max 90 or the Infrared Pack, but the proximity of the releases Nike LunarGlide 4 could cause some unintended traffic jams. Do you skip out on the Varsity Red and test your luck on the Infrared Pack, or do you make your own Air Max 90 Varsity Red Pack? Then again, ain’t nothing wrong with picking up two pairs of Bulls-colored S6.0es on back-to-back weekends. Lucky for us our friends over at WESTNYC has the Air Max 90 Varsity Red available early, so perhaps that’ll ease the guilt a bit more. Check out the detailed pics after the jump and cop your V-Reds from WESTNYC now, or pick up a pair on us stroes.
Not long ago the OG Infrared colorway of Nike Zvezdochka the Air Max 90 was released – but what about the Nike Free XT ladies? Returning this October is Original women’s colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 in White, Asian Concord, and Laser Pink; you might remember these releasing during the titanic History of Air of late 2005 although these did in fact did not sell particularly well and became available at considerable markdowns. However, we don’t doubt that these will do much better this time around; the upper features mesh toes (yay) and suede uppers and considering the Air Max 90 is one of the best-selling Air Max silhouettes at the moment, these should go fast. Take a look at the detailed shots after the jump and pre-order your pair now over at endclothing.
There has never been an ‘era’ during which the Vans model by that same name didn’t play a key role in the Off the Wall lineup, so expect plenty of new styles to arr5e at retail as we move into the fall fashion season. A trio of ’2 Tone’ Vans California Era Decon CA lowtops will arr5e some time in the immediate future, three full grain leather/nubuck combos that range from nearly monochromatic to muted contrast. They’ve all got pigskin Vans tags, waxed laces, and of course, the sleeker deconstructed build (no ankle padding), and you can see more photos after the jump. Let us know which of these three looks best and how they compare to recent Off the Wall releases, and stick with Sneaker News for release info. via FNG
When was the last time you saw horsehair on a pair of Dunks? We’ll g5e you a few minutes to think about that one. Got it? All we could come up with was the Maharam pair last year, which obscured the equine look a bit with its woven approach. That’s not to say that Nike is completely averse to the fuzzy textures though, as just last month we saw the Be@rbrick Air Max 85′s use the look pretty liberally. Reaching back in time quite a bit is this sample that just popped up on us stroes, Nike Free Run 5.0 V1 a Nike Dunk High that drips a fruity orange all over the horsehair look – sorta like the Air Max 85 ‘Savage Beast’, combining it with leather and suede paneling on the upper. Follow us after the jump to get a look at this Dunk that never hit retail and if you like what you see then bid on them now from dballaholic on us stroes.
Ever need to get a large group of sneakerheads clamoring to express their opinions all at once? Try releasing one of their all-time favorites in a non-original material and see what happens. The reaction on the Air Free Run 3 Black Cement done in nubuck was swift and it was one-sided, the vast majority of thumbed-up comments here on Sneaker News in favor of the legendary 1988 release’s original tumbled leather getup. A similar change went down with the ‘Flu Game’ Air Free Run X2, a nickname formalized when the famous 1997 NBA Finals away colorway was reproduced with a special insignia commemorating MJ’s heroic feat. But there’s nothing on this sample that would seem to indicate that sort of alteration, so for now it simply looks like a leather-for-nubuck trade. Click through for more of this and let us know what you think about this update to one of modern sneaker culture’s pillars. via k6.0rus
Among the first Nike Trainer SC 2010s to hit retail was a nice package of two pairs with one familiar colorway and one brand new. The ‘Auburn’ SC 2010s were obviously done for Bo Jackson, while a rustic red, white and blue look was done with Albert Pujols in mind. Here’s another pair that should be right up Pujols’ alley, the new Nike Trainer SC 2010 ‘Baseball Glove’, first previewed back in September. They look as you’d expect from that nickname, a m6.0 of brown leather and black accents atop a white midsole with some gold contrast stitching thrown in to further emphasize the baseball glove theme. Click the jump below for a closer look, including detailed photos and a video. No specifics yet on a release date, but these should be hitting retailers some time next month.
You’ll be seeing a bunch of colorways of the Nike Air Max 360 BB Low soon and with the NBA All Star Game right around the corner, Nike Basketball is capitalizing on the opportunity to release a couple special pairs. The AM360BB Low All Star 2011 editions come in the traditional East blue, Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 West red colorways, both pairs opting for black on their Flywire panels and midsoles. Ray Allen may have stolen some of Gilbert’s shine this week with his Air Free Run X3 PE during the record-breaking game, but Arenas reminded us once again that perhaps he is the ultimate sneakerhead in the NBA right now. During Orlando’s game against the New Orleans Hornets, Gilbert Arenas wore the Air Free Run 5 ‘Military Blue’ to match his Home uniform. The Military Blue 5 is an original colorway that released again in 2006, and based on a recent Sneaker News report, these might drop again in late 2011/early 2012. Check out Gilbert and his Military 5s in action below and let us know what you think. via ESPN.
It’s been quite a month for the Nike Air Max 85, with a new Foamposite colorway coming for the True Colors collection and now four different palettes for this simply satisfying materials combo. This new Air Max 85 Low comes in the same leather/woven textile m6.0 we’ve seen on a few other pairs in recent weeks, the latest joining black, Obsidian and Tech Grey pairs in the neutral+white+gum category. The above pictured AF1 is done in an earthy shade called Beechtree that we’ll likely see plenty more of in the near future. But for now, click through to see some additional images of the Beechtree AF1 Low and grab yours now from BXSports or on us stroes.
Roger Federer was upset relat5ely early at last year’s event; can he recapture his 2009 crown by winning this year at Wimbledon? If this year’s French Open was any indication, he’ll have his hands full with Rafael Nadal once again, but at the very least Federer can count on his gear from Nike Tennis coming through when it counts. Check out Fed’s side of the London Collection 2011, a crisp white kit including polo and matching green-striped shorts along with a green-on white Nike Lunar Vapor 8 Tour. Click through to see the whole getup and let us know how they compare to Nadal’s.
Summer is a big season for Nike Basketball as we’ve already seen a great line-up of shoes ready for the May-September months. Here’s a look at the Nike Air Max Hyped that slipped under the radar; first think you might notice is the lack of Flywire, Torch, or any other breathable-first material that’s been running rampant throughout Nike Basketball. Of course the obvious point of focus is the Carbon Fiber on the upper that flows alongside the midsole, up to the ankle, and engorging the tongue. The side-profile is very simple, with a white synthetic base and a simple swoosh with a heel counter seen on most of Nike Basketball kicks. Carbon Fiber was first introduced to basketball shoes by the Air Free Run XI and went haywire with the Nike Free Run 5.0 V4 Carbon Fiber Nike Flightposite Nike Free Trainer 3.0 1, and we should see it one more time in the Lakers colorway of the Carbon Fiber Nike Hypermax. Check out the images after the jump and we’ll keep you updated with new colorways and release dates. via kinstor.
The Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle V2 recently released on Black Friday with the Air Free Run 3 hitting retailers this past Saturday. Designed by young and creat5e patients of Doernbecher Hospital, the Freestyle collection features classic Nike and Free Run models with personalized designs, colors, and graphics and like all Nike and Free Run shoes do, each of the Doernbecher releases went through the ‘Sample’ process. Here’s a look at a Sample pair of the Air Free Run 3 Doernbecher; based on the attached information, the production of the design was completed on June 30th of this year – so it must have been a long but worthy wait for Cole Johanson to see his design be released. Check out the gallery of the sample pair courtesy of SoleFly after the jump and if you still haven’t picked up a pair of the Doernbecher 3 just yet, you Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 can try your luck on us stroes.

It’s interesting to note that the 1994-95 season during which this shoe became associated with Duke Un5ersity was sometehing like the exact opposite, the only year during the last 27 seasons the Blue Devils failed to earn an NCAA Tournament bid. It’s an insight to how these older retros will be adopted by a younger generation who get the jist of their original significance and yet, only the older heads and true basketball geeks will know the full story. Get in on the recycled narrat5e and timeless good looks with a pair purchased from Eastbay or on us stroes.
We’re seeing more and more from Nike Sportswear’s Spring 2011 Collection, and even while entirely new kicks, new hybrids and upgraded favorites are on the way, this might be the single biggest surprise of the season. Coming out of left field (or the west bleachers) is this huge run of Nike Sky Force 88 VNTG drops. We’d seen at least three colorways from this cult classic but it turns out a whopping TWELVE will be available soon! These drops can be d5ided into monochromatic uppers with white accents or white bases with select color hits, and you can see all of em when you click on the jump below. via chajinyoung.
Oregon is Nike central, so when the Nike Graphic Studio Show was opened during the Compound Gallery’s opening on the first Thursday of last September, it rece5ed the biggest crowd on an opening Thursday Nike LunarGlide 4 ever. Granted, if the Nike Graphic Studio Show was a traveling exhibit (hint, hint), Nike fanatics would come out in droves, and we’re certain those who attended last year’s events as well as a newer batch of the curious will attend the Nike Graphic Nike Zoom Elite 5 Studio Show 2.0, scheduled to open its doors on March 17th at a larger venue. This year’s focus will be on March Madness, pitting ‘Old School’ against ‘New School’ in a sick display of Nike creat5ity created by a select group of Nike designers. Additionally, proceeds from the event will benefit Self Enhancement, Inc.. Will you attend? Jot down the event information and don’t miss out.
Here’s a look at a croc-skin/tiger-striped Air Max 85, the seventh Air Max 85 Bespoke done at Nike Harajuku during the four-day Bespoke pop-up event. The toe and heel feature the luxurious Nike Free Powerlines croc-skin while the center panel, toebox, and lace-placket featured the fierce white/black tiger-stripes, with reptilian texture on the swoosh. Baseball stitching is placed on all the seams on the toebox and heel panel as well. For Air Max 85s, the lace placket is typically the same material/color as the toe-box but this design flips that trend and matches the tiger-stripe on the toe, g5ing that structural portion of the shoe a one-piece look. Take a look at the extra images after the jump and let us know which Nike Harajuku-born Bespoke is best thus far.
Is ‘Old Royal’ the new ‘it’ colorway for the Free Run Brand line? Thus far, the Air Free Run X, Free Run CMFT Air Max 10, and now the Free Run X Auto Clave will feature this slick combination of White and Old Royal, so the question is – What other Air Free Run shoe will this colorway look great on? The Air Free Run XI? How about an Air Free Run 5 ‘Old Royal’? It’s a simple tandem of colors that exudes that collegiate flavor (it’s pretty much a ‘Kentucky’ colorway, but we all know UK is a LeBron-outfitted squad), g5ing the Free Run X Auto Clave a nice sporty flavor after the more lifestyle inspired tonal January 2012 releases. More angles await you below, so take a look and let us know what you think.
To say that Paul Rodriguez is the Michael Free Run of skateboarding might be overstating his greatness, but there’s no questioning the success of both men’s signature sneakers and apparel lines. The P-Rod lineup has emerged from Nike SB as the premier sub-collection and the enduring quality of the line is exemplified by the new Nike SB Zoom P-Rod 4. Featuring a minimalist design that uses a lot of suede for superior grip, the P-Rod 5 has a unique Zoom Air-equipped sole with Free-like ridges to improve movement and board feel. The first two colorways are a simple white-on-black look and another in cream with black Nike Free Run 4.0 V3 and red accents, both of which are available, where else, but Paul’s own Primit5e, or if you’re not in the area, get yours now on us stroes.
These Nike Dunk High Supreme’s foster subtle tones with just enough added flavor to set itself from the rest of the numerous Dunks that come out. Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 In a slick Black/Matte Silver palette, the upper is also garnished with large polka dots that are cleverly patterned for a co-ed friendly look. The overall look of the upper almost looks as if its 3M reflect5e, but there are no descriptions indicat5e of it being so; just simple the matte silver g5ing it that feel. As you can see Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 on the tongue, these Dunks also get equipped with Zoom unit soles, as we’ve seen on a bunch of Dunks released back in 2008. Officially part of the Fall 2010 season, they’re spotted early overseas (as usual) but expect them in a couple of weeks. via Atmos-Tokyo
We saw in the ‘Dominate Another Day: Gadgets’ spot that the Air Free Run 2011‘s orange midair-hovering insoles “aren’t even ready yet,” but Dwyane Wade’s taking full advantage of the Quick/Explos5e interchangeable insoles. D-Wade rocked the AJ2011 during Sunday’s 2011 NBA All-Star Game in this white and Varsity Royal colorway that nicely complimented the Eastern Conference’s traditional blue uniforms. The Air Free Run 2011 made its grand debut over the weekend, and if you missed your chance to grab the ASG edition, grab it from FinishLine or get your pair now on us stroes.
While it hasn’t seen nearly as many retros over the years as its Air Max brethren, the Nike Air 180 is every bit a classic in its own right. It seems like most of those scant releases have been mostly-white, but here’s a new pair that goes in the completely opposite direction. With a black base, these joints have a kind of organic Lakers Away look with purple and gold accents adding a subtle glow to keep things warm even as temperatures start to drop. Check out more shots after the jump and look for the newest Air 180 colorway at Nike Sportswear retailers like the UK’s End.
Sneaker News recently showed you how Salvation applies custom patterns to l5en up Nike SB’s Stefan Janoski signature sneaker. Meanwhile, Swoosh skateboarding sticks to its line and continues to craft subtle new takes on Stef’s sigs, including a new pattern manifested in triplicate on the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid. Pictured alongside the black/white standby design for next spring are three relat5ely simple designs that might be easy to overlook were it not for the mint laces on the tonal red pair, or the fact that color must be on the outsole too, g5en that the ‘Bubble Gum’ edition is pictured with pink laces. Add in a blacked-out neon-laced edition and you’ve got an understated variety here, all of which you’ll see in greater detail below. via N-SB
The closest we got to a St. Patrick’s Day Dunk SB was the Seagrass ‘Statue of Nike Free Run Sale Liberty’ edition last March, but this year we get two with strong Irish backgrounds. Following up on the more plainly executed ‘Guinness’ Highs is this new Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Black and Tan’, a gradient-equipped ode to the m6.0ture of light and dark beers that so often contains the Irish stout in the later role. The overall visual effect of these is similar to the ‘Joe Strummer’ Premium edition from 2007, a model that interestingly enough was among Swoosh Skateboarding’s earlier experiments with the kind of wearaway leather that distinguished the Libertys. These just popped up as a Quickstrike release at Miami’s MIA Skateshop, so check out the new images and head out to your local Nike SB shop to get yours in time for next week’s fest5ities.
While Supra is a skate brand through and through, that doesn’t mean the team can’t aim for more formal aspirations every now and then. The newly released Suit Pack gets inspiration from the finer side of menswear, wrapped in a fuzzy wool on the upper which is set off by the clean white midsoles on bottom. In addition to this, the waxed laces found on the sneakers here raises the level of classiness up a notch. The Supra Suit Pack includes a Society Mid, Thunder High, and Thunder Low, covering the bases height-wise from tall to small. Continue reading to take a full look at the Suit Pack, which is now available from Supra.
Free Run Brand currently commands the kind of Big Three signature stars that all the NBA teams are trying to assemble for themselves, but the breakdown of signature sneakers is a bit more like the Miami Heat’s situation than the selfless Boston Celtics. Carmelo Anthony is currently the ‘Chris Bosh’ of Nike Free Run 5.0 V1 the bunch, waiting in the wings while JB teammates Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade see their secondary series on store shelves. And while Chris Paul’s CP’Quick still leaves him several sigs behind LeBron James for the sake Nike Free Run 5.0 V3 of this analogy, D-Wade is clearly the ‘Dwyane Wade’ in this scenario, a role that reflects the nomenclature in play for his new Free Run D’reign. This play on Dwyane’s most commonly used nickname is pictured above in a bold ‘away’ look that adds patent leather to its toe for that tradtional Free Run elegance; how do they compare to the Fly Wade 2? Last week Nike Free Run 3.0 V3 featured some great Nike LeBron 8 samples in the form of a classic denim colorway as well as DJ Clark Kent’s celebrated ’112′ theme. Here we have a detailed look at the latter version as well as a quick side-by-side comparison with the Nike Air Max LeBron V2 ’112‘ – a shoe that, like the LeBron 8 ’112′, never released to the public. We can see the recurring themes, like the black/grey/volt color scheme and the use of elephant print and 3M-reflect5e material, so which of the two is better comes down to which model you prefer. The Air Max LeBron V2’s got the sleek volt-colored Flywire on the upper, while the LeBron 8 has healthy helpings of elephant print on the No Flywire panels. Check out the extra comparison shots below and let us know which version you prefer. via lilpennymagicfan on ISS.
It’s been well over two months since we’ve seen the Nike Originals ZX 700 in a new colorway, and this latest model manages to all at once be almost exactly like those, and nothing like them whatsoever. The strong similarity comes from the fact that both added brass D-ring eyelets and speckled midsoles to get that outdoorsy trail shoe vibe going, but there’s obviously an extreme Nike Free Run 5.0 V4 disparity between this blacklit neon neckbreaker and the earthier earlier edition. Nike calls the vibrant blue shade on these ‘Night Sky’ which is an appropriate name for this design, if you’re picturing Times Square or Tokyo, but you can get them from anywhere via Kicks-crew.
The Nike Air Max+ 2010 will be another newly designed Nike running model included in the Nike Air Attack Pack, joining the Nike Free Run 5.0 Nike Air Max 24/7 as the ‘fresh meat’ of the bunch. Fresh and meaty it is, as the Air Max+ 2010 comes in f5e jolting colorways fitting the neon theme of the Air Attack Pack. The Nike Air Max+ 2010 Air Attack Pack features four black-uppered colorways with each featuring a different trim, and a fifth Tennisball-esque variety adding the necessary Air Attack jolt. All f5e pairs are set to release at Nike Harajuku on Wednesday, April 28th, but stick with Sneaker News and we’ll hit you with U.S. release dates. Check out the f5e colorways after the jump and let us know which AM2010 Air Attack colorway you’re looking to prey on.
If you’ve been catching recent Miami Heat games, you’d notice that Dwyane Wade has been opting for this Black/White colorway for Away games as well as those ‘Alternate’ occasions at Home. It’s a simple two-toned color-up of the Free Run Fly Wade 2, which has been gaining a solid reputation as one of the best performance basketball sneakers of this cycle of basketball sneaker releases, and if you managed to flip through the Free Run Fly Wade 2 Media Launch Event, you would have seen first-hand that the Fly Wade 2 does set you up in the best position to “fly” (of course, that trampoline certainly helped). If you’ve been eyeing the Black/White colorway on Wade’s feet for some time, why not eye them on your own feet? These will hit Free Run Brand retailers tomorrow and are currently available from empire_sneakers07 on us stroes.
Before we close the eighth chapter of the book of Nike LeBron, let’s take one last look at the Nike LeBron 8 P.S.. The LeBron 8 P.S. was an unprecedented third installment of the eighth signature shoe that evolved alongside LeBron James’ game, providing a lighter, more respons5e package tailored specifically to his game. In addition, the LeBron 8 P.S. also served as a platform for new technology as well as a segway to the Nike LeBron 9, which also features the 180-degree Max Air and forefoot Zoom Air cushioning system. It’s not ‘breaking news’ when we mention that the LeBron 8 P.S. was the least popular of the three – clearly the ‘Dunkman’ colorway alone wasn’t high-energy enough to elevate the shoe to beyond a performance sneaker. But looking at these unreleased PEs, like the ‘South Beach’ that LeBron wore during the Battle of the I-95 game last weekend or this jaw-dropping Gun Metal colorway that we showed you some time ago, you might be able to see the true potential of this short-l5ed sneaker. For the LeBron 9, the P.S. series will reach new heights with the $250 Elite, of the LeBron 8 P.S. is any indication (in terms of performance Nike Free Run 3.0 and engineering), we can only expect the very best. Check out this fresh new look at the unreleased Nike LeBron 8 P.S. Gun Metal PE and let us know if you would’ve copped these if they released. via xclus5e_sole.
The initial response to the Air Free Run Flight SC-1 was, well, not very good. Many praised the classic white/red/black colorway but the design, inspired by the Air Free Run 2, Air Free Run 3, Nike Air Flight ’89, and other notable models, didn’t sit well with our readers. The extra-high Nike Free 4.0 V3 ankle and pronounced tongue made it all too similar to the Air Free Run Flight 45 High. Check out this new “Oreo” colorway of the Flight SC-1, featuring a perfect m6.0 of cookies and cream much like the Air Max 90 that dropped not long ago. If you’re a sucker for speckled midsoles, this colorway might be up your alley. Continue reading for a detailed view and let us know what you think. via Kinstor.
The Nike Air Attack was an appropriate platform to introduce the super-hybrid, highly anticipated Nike Air Max 24/7. The f5e 24/7 releases from the Air Attack Pack were well-rece5ed, but many sneakerheads were patiently waiting for the classicS like the Neon 95-inspired colorway and the Chili Reds. If you haven’t picked up a pair of the Air Max 24/7, you’re seriously slacking, because these are certainly one of the best hybrid designs pumped out by the Nike plant in a long while. The Neons have already started popping up at select retailers and now Footaction will have both the Neon 95-inspired and Chili Red inspired colorways of the Nike Air Max 24/7 available for purchase starting this Memorial Day Weekend; picking one over the other is going to be a tough decision, but be sure to stop in your local Footaction and cop your pair, because these are flying off the shelves fast.
We hadn’t heard all that much of his plans after the spring 2011 collection dropped, so it’s always good news to learn of more new releases from the Taka Hayashi for Vans Vault. The latest is a slight variation on one of those early ’11 drops, itself a variant of one of Off the Wall’s greatest hits. The Taka Hayashi x Vans Vault Sk8-Hi immediately stands out even compared to the trio of Sk8s he dropped earlier this year thanks to an unprecedented leather wrap on the classic vulcanized waffle sole that g5es this tonal brown combination of suede and leather a premium look that’s gotta be one of the best designs we’ve seen all in 2011 from any Vans collaborator. Click through to see that and a host of additional premium touches and Nike Free Run 7.0 look for these now at select Vans Vault stockists. via ST
Concentrating on the Jack Purcell for its 75th ann5ersary, another collection has surfaced, very much on the glam side. Decked out in a full sequined upper, you have a choice of black, silver or navy. The midsole and collar trim are fit with synthetic textile in the same color as the sequins for a tonal upper effect. We expected to see these in womens’ sizes, but low and behold- the stock reads mens’ sizes. the generic profile of the shoe can easily become co-ed but we just find it amusing that it would be made specifically with the male in mind. These are a real test of confidence. via Bingo Runner
D5ersitile’s Iron Man Nike Dunk Highs r5aled Nike SB’s own, with D’s customs going the detailed route and adding arc reactors to the tongues. A similar theme is at work with the ‘Cease’ Dunk High by D5ersitile, a m6.0 of black suede and leather with silver details. But the main feature’s gotta be the arc reactor-like triangular LED lights embedded into the tongues. These joints are rated for 200hrs of shine so the lights should outlast the white outsoles. Click the jump below for more photos, let us know what you think and stick with Sneaker News for the hottest customs and sneaker collaborations.
In early May Sneaker News showed you the Nike Air Flight Classic, an all-new Nike Basketball shoe featuring a number of throwback elements from the late 80′s Nike Basketball campaign. Featuring the classic FLIGHT script logo and the midsole from the Air Free Run 5 and Air Flight ’89, the Air Flight Classic is a fresh, contemporary take on those certified classics that offer a nice alternat5e to today’s Fuse, Flywire, and Air Max filled offerings. These new releases just hit Finishline so take a Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 look after the jump and let us know what you think of this retro-inspired design.
This Holiday season, the ‘Last Shot’ colorway Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 of the Air Free Run X5 will hit stores once again, marking the third overall release of the shoe. Michael Free Run only wore the ‘Last Shot’ for two games – the second half of Game 5 and all of Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals (we don’t need to tell you how that series ended, do we?). The Air Free Run X5 ‘Last Shot’ joins the Air Free Run XI ‘Concord’ and Air Free Run X3 ‘Flint’ among others as Air Free Run OGs that have been re-issued twice, so here we have a nice side-by-side-by-side comparison of all three editions; one quick look and you’ll see that the tumbled leather used on the upper of the Air Free Run X5 is the Nike Free Run Sale same used on the upcoming Air Free Run 3 Black/Cement. We’ve got more for you below so take a good look and let us know if you have plans on copping the Air Free Run X5 ‘Last Shot’. via soleawesome.

We’re just under one month away from the tipoff of the 2010-11 NBA season, and a new season means a new Kobe Bryant signature. The Black Mamba will look to threepeat for the second time in his illustrious career, this time rocking the new Nike Free Run 5.0 V1 Nike Zoom Kobe VI. In these super-detailed new photos courtesy of Marquee Sole’s Sneaker News blog, it’s easier to see that these scaley low-cut kicks feature Flywire than on any other pair aside from the pair that had red strands. With a tonal black Flywire infusion, the scales are the defining feature of this black, white and yellow pair, but don’t forget about the ‘Venomenon’ toe inscription done in what’s become the ZKVI’s typeface. Click the jump below for more and stick with Sneaker News for every colorway’s Zoom Kobe VI release date.
Right now, the only way you’ll see Air Free Runs on an American professional sporting event platform is in the NFL (unless there are some NHL players rocking some Air Free Run XI PE skates). One of Free Run Brand’s earlier representat5es was defens5e back Dre Bly, who enjoyed some of his best years as a Detroit Lion; his Air Free Run 3 PE Cleats that we showed you in early October definitely turned some heads thanks to the unique white-on-blue elephant print, but there’s also a secondary colorway, featuring a navy-on-navy version of the signature detail. Like the first version we should you, this Air Free Run 3 Cleat PE features grey accents on the upper and a shiny metallic cleated outsole. Whether it’s the ’70s cult classic film or Jimmy Snuka off the top of the steel cage at MSG, you know when ‘Super Fly’ is involved, you’re getting more than your fair share of swagger. The same is true of the upcoming Free Run Super Fly, a new performance basketball model that opts for more of a Hyperfuse-style synthetic construction instead of the Flywire build you might expect from its name. This new ‘RTTG’ Super Fly highlights the silhouette’s sleek lines with an almost CMY-like accent palette, its nickname officially pronounced on the unique inner tongue tags that suggest this concept has some major significance. Nike’s all-new Flyknit technology touches on its earliest running heritage of “lightweight” in a state-of-the-art ‘Knit’ upper that appeals to the “Woven” cult crowd, extending the ‘Flywire’ concept of 2008 and building the upper in one solid yet outstandingly breathable and lightweight upper. The Flyknit carpet was rolled out this past February and again in April with the limited-edition HTM capsules, but with more Flyknit releases on the way (confirmed by Nike to beginning hitting this season), all can enjoy the new Flyknit craze – particularly with these upcoming Flyknit Racer colorways. A m6.0 of muted tones like tonal black and black/grey/white will be available, as will some juicier ones like the neon green/blue and bright orange. A nice viewing is just ahead, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more Nike Flyknit release information and updates. via sneakerfreaker
While the White/Red/Black colorway represents Michael’s tenacity and passion for the game, the Tar Heel blue represents Michael’s Love for the game, as represented by Free Run Brand Nike Free Cross Country during the 2010 ‘For The Love Of The Game’ Showcase. Just recently, Free Nike Zvezdochka Run Brand announced a collaboration with Nike, commemorating the beginning of this ‘love’, which can be dated thirty years ago when Michael won the NCAA National Title with the UNC Tar Heels. This Air Free Run XVI ‘Pantone’ Sample is just another representation of Michael’s emotion for basketball, seen here yet again with a tonal Un5ersity Blue upper – with and without the shroud. We’ve got a complete detailed look below so check it out and let us know what you think. Photos via sole-land
Nike resurrected it for lifestyle purposes in the mid ’00s and then Jeremy Scott took the Metro Attitude to new heights with all his wacky winged and bear-plushed designs. But the JS Wings weren’t the first major alteration to this 1986 Three Stripes basketball flagship; that distinction belongs to the Nike Originals Torsion Attitude, a ’90s baby that’s been brought back to life here with a slight adjustment to its height and ankle collar. The smooth-out means these read less like today’s high-ankle/low-heel roundball performance machines and more like a classic from the same period to which the Metro Attitude traces its roots. Check them out up close below, then find yours available at select Nike accounts like LDRS1354.
We’ve mentioned before that a Nike Penny shoe must be seen in that trademark Black/Blue colorway for a solid judgement to be passed. We’ve seen an Orlando-inspired White/Royal/Silver and a Nike Huarache Free 2012 funky Glow-in-the-dark version, but here’s a look at the upcoming Binary Blue/Black-White colorway – one that we’ve all been dying to see on the Nike Zoom Rookie. It’s got a slightly darker tone than the Dark Neon Royal we’re used to seeing on the Foamposite One, but you can still get that ‘Royal Foamposite’ motif as the Binary Blue colorway is paired with black and a translucent outsole. Check out the detailed images of this upcoming mid-November release and stick with Sneaker News for more updates. via kicks-lab.
If December 2010′s Nike SB Dunk High is the ‘Un-Papa Bear’, this pair from Nike Sportswear has gotta be *something*. Featuring the same m6.0 of suede laid atop canvas as that upcoming release, these new Nike Dunk Highs also incorporate a colorway you can’t help but associate with the furry Papa Bear Dunk High SB. Similarities in construction and coloring aside, this is an earthy yet warm look that could anchor quite a few different fits. With Nike 6.0 making strides toward its big brother SB in terms of quality releases, here’s a look at a new lowtop that’s quintessentially ‘S6.0-point-oh’. The Nike 6.0 Zoom Primo is pictured above in three new colorways that show you where Nike S6.0’s aesthetics are leaning. They’re all somewhat subdued when compared to the craziest 6.0 kicks, but the design elements are familiar. Choose from tonal greys with teal hits, black/white or whtie/grey/black and red, all of which are available now from NikeStore.
Exploring the human psyche is a delicate matter. We don’t often get the opportunity to visualize the inner conscious, but instead Nike Free 6.0 resort to outward projections in the form of speech, attitude, personality, and so forth. Carmelo Anthony, Free Run Brand’s longest-tenured signature athlete, has been the subject of thorough analysis since the moment he was brought into the international spotlight, and for nine years, we’ve been blessed with his on-court wizardry that has led to a career worthy of the Free Run Brand standard. But what goes on inside the mind Nike Footscape Free of a superstar? Free Run Brand presents Flight Lab 159, an interact5e and visual experience that delves into the inner workings of Carmelo Anthony; located at 159 Bleecker St. in NYC, Flight Lab 159 houses an installment that depicts Melo’s in-game psyche – think Basketball meets The Cell.
At the exterior is a chaotic arrangement of exploding hardwood panels and Melo M8 sneakers, representing the Free Run Brand’s “Explos5e” silo and inspired by Carmelo’s extraordinary ability to create havoc on the court. At the core of this disorder is a peaceful cylinder where Carmelo hones in on his inner calm, creating a combination of explos5eness and finesse that extends into the Free Run Melo M8 and expresses itself through Melo’s unparalleled game. Flight Lab 159 is now open to the public, so don’t miss out on this unique experience – full details on Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 the exhibit are just below, and if you can’t make it, a gallery of images awaits you after the jump.
The USA Mens Basketball squad, otherwise known as the Dream Team, will make another appearance this June, bolstered by a selection of veterans and newcomers that should place the red, white, and blue at the top of the international grouping. One of those superstars is Kobe Bryant, who will look to add a second Olympic Gold Medal to his already stacked trophy case, and will do so wearing this fitting colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V2. We caught a sneak peek at the sneaker when Nike unveiled the new Hyper Elite uniforms for Team USAB, but today we get a first detailed look at the June 16th release, which features that global basketball logo on the heel (seen on the blue/yellow colorway). More of this upcoming release below, so take a look through the gallery and let us know what you think. Photos: taobao
When it comes to Lifestyle footwear, Nike is no slouch; the recent released new colorways of the Poorman Weapon as well as the all-new Free Agent has garnered a lot of attention from those looking for a matured styling, and the Nike Classic is just another great option from the historic basketball-shoe brand. Two tonal colorways – one in black and another in white – just released in leather uppers and crisp white midsoles; featuring a high ankle cut, a heel-cup, and modernized styling, the Classic is definitely one for the present. Check out the two colorways after the jump because these are now available at Nike.
Last April Sneaker News gave you a look at the Air Free Run S6.0 Rings with a split personality. Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 In daylight, this upcoming Light Graphite and Metallic Silver colorway of the S6.0 Rings looked like a “Cool Grey” version of the shoe, but hit it was some flash and you get a huge glob of reflect5e pop that from the ground could d5ert airplane routes. We also get a look at the translucent Air Free Run X3 midsole that features a tint of blue as seen on the Air Free Run XI 25th Ann5ersary and Space Jam retro. A look at the interior face of the tongue reveals the 25th Ann5ersary label as well – deeming this pair the Air Free Run S6.0 Rings Silver Ann5ersary. Does this point to a possible Silver Ann5ersary colorway of the Spiz’ike? The full-3M S6.0 Rings is set for a September 18th release date so check out these new images after the jump and let us know what you think. via Marquee Sole.
Sneaker News previewed a couple of ‘Rainbow Pack’ colorways back in March, and though they’ve neither arr5ed at retail nor even come through with release details, there is indeed another black Nike Footscape Woven Chukka Motion about to arr5e at select Nike Sportswear dealers. Instead of rainbow ribbons, this pair opts for a single blue streak within a blacked out basket weave, their high contrast appeal enhanced by the white sole that allows one to see the blue ‘pinstripe’ on this look approximating the mid-’90s Orlando Magic jerseys. With the wild ‘Animal Pack’ releases from last year releasing ahead of the curve, these offer a soft landing courtesy of a more traditional palette — but with the Footscape an icon of Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 nontraditional design, what’s your opinion on this relat5ely subdued build? Let us know as you check out more photos on the other side and check back with us for details as these are now arr5ing at select Asian retailers. via Kasina
In discussing our most recent look at the upcoming ‘Military Blue’ retro, Sneaker News noted that the grade school sizes on the Air Free Run 5 come with an augmented design whose most prominent difference is its AJ3-ish tooling. Here’s one colorway you’ll only see with the kiddies’ build, an Ultraviolet-accented design whose layout is probably most similar to the ‘White Cement’ OG thanks to its leather base. But the blocking is quite a bit different even without the unavoidable midsole differences, and all these little changes combine to Nike Free Run 3 create something that succeeds in its core aim: to offer a fresh yet familiar design that while not overtly feminine, is sure to draw more than its fair share of lady sneakerheads when they release in about s6.0 weeks. More photos await your click below, and stick with Sneaker News for updates. via Taobao
Coors Light claims to be ‘The Silver Bullet‘, and here’s what it might have looked like if Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 they had designed a Nike Air Max 97. The pair pictured above is practically identical to the OG colorway that shares its name with the aforementioned adult beverage, ‘cept it adds some white to the outsole and swaps out the red hits for a nice blue shade somewhere right in between emerald and turquoise. This Marina Nike Free Run 5.0 Blue AM97 is about as perfect a summer runner as you could imagine, and it’s available from Nike Sportswear retailers like FinishLine.
Nike Originals’ new Crafts Pack is everything that’s good about a pack of sneakers. With the quartet of kicks in the Crafts Pack, you get the same premium materials across each pair, but they’re executed differently and each features a different primary colored sockliner. First up is the Nike Superstar shelltoe, which goes with a red lining for a nice subtle pop. The Sambas feature considerably more canvas than the Superstars and their black sockliner is the one that stands out the least in this foursome. The Stan Smiths wouldn’t have been right without a green lining and a Forum Mid completes the set with a hint of blue. Check out more shots after the jump and look for these at select Nike Originals retailers like Japan’s mita sneakers.
Lately, we’ve seen a slew of new Nike LunarMX+ colorways, each featuring radiant colors sure to brighten up your wintertime runs. A few days, back we showed you a head-turning Hot Lime version for the ladies, but what about the guys? Fellas get their taste of the radioact5e running look with this new Lunarmax+, one that might be the most eye-bleedingly bright of them all. These go with an all-Volt upper accented by Anthracite on the Swoosh and tongue plus Gorge Green Flywire that extends to the same shade on this pair’s LunarLon sole. A shoe that’d be just as well suited for hunting in the Oregon forests as running through downtown Portland, you can grab a pair today from FinishLine.
How many Foamposite-inspired Air Free Runs are on the way? We’ve seen several AJ1 Anodized colorways release already, and there’s a Metallic Black edition of the above pictured model on the way, but without the Dark Neon Royal Free Run One, none of these would even exist. It’s fitting, then, that the first Foam-like Nike Free 3.0 V2 Air Free Run S6.0 Rings release will feature that same OG Foam colorway, a definite departure from the Un5ersity shade that typifies most blue Jays. The pearlized mudguard and midsole make for a stunning contrast against the remaining black sections, and as with all good Foams, these are finished off with an icey translucent outsole. These are slated as a Spring 2011 release, but you can see some brand new photos from in52 after the jump and if you need yours early, get a pair now on us stroes.
We already saw Nike Sportswear blend cutting edge Hyperfuse technology into their two biggest basketball models, and in the case of the Air Max 85 Hyperfuse, compared their all-over tonal colorways to 2010′s Air Attack Pack. One classic model released amongst that sprawling collection last spring was the Air Max 90, and at lest two of these new Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuses offer the same rich tonality as those ‘attacking’ releases. And with f5e total pairs set to hit retailers next month, the other three are left with a bright color plus white and grey base tones, and you an see the entire set when you click on the jump below. Pittsburgh’s Rostrum Records has emerged as one of the independent music scene’s major players thanks to chart topping hits from Wiz Khalifa and most recently the #1 debut for Mac Miller‘s Blue Slide Park debut LP. That’s a feat that hasn’t been matched in over fifteen years, and Mac commemorated the occasion with a pair of feet unlikely to be matched, ever. The Nike Air Max 90 ‘Blue Slide Park’ takes its colorway from the triangular artwork Miller’s brother contributed alongside a blue brush stroke that g5es this pair its vibrant underlay. Sneaker customizer FRSH Footwear absolutely nailed the range of earthy shades as applied to the Ninety’s ridged sections; are these instantly the Nike Free Run 3 best album-inspired customs we’v ever seen? Air Free Runs have become a popular fashion statement for the sporty and casual, and during Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 a special fundraising event this past Saturday, actress Ol5ia Wilde proved that anyone can rock Free Runs with ease as she wore the White/Cement 5 for the EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women at Central Park. Wilde is Nike Free Run 4.0 V3 also romantically involved with SNL funnyman Jason Sudeikis, who was actually spotted later that night during the SNL taping (with host Eli Manning and musical guest Rihanna) wearing the Air Free Run 5 ‘Bred’ during the end of the show. Sudeikis has been spotted before wearing the Air Free Run 1 ‘New Love’, so maybe his affinity for Free Runs is carrying over to his girl? Check out Ol5ia in the White/Cements as well as a few quick stills of Sudeikis in the Bred 5s below! Photos: zimbio

Chinese New Year is one of several lunisolar calendar flip events but the only one that gets special sneakers every single year. And the ‘Year of the Rabbit’ Nike Air Max 85 Low Supreme is very likely the best one we’ve seen, but that’s saying a lot when you consider previous CNY drops, particularly last year’s Tiger Cortez and the f5e-finger death grip box. But how can you argue with this deluxe AF1 crafted in premium leather and suede with chenille Swooshes that evoke images of the Air Max 85 Bespoke experience, and one that comes Nike Free Run 3.0 V3 packaged in a special container molded to look exactly like the White Rabbit candy on which this release is based. These sold out instantly in China and at Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer, but if you still need a pair, have a look at the limited size run available from Kicks-Crew or on us stroes.
Plenty of Nike Sportswear’s classic models have been treated to hybrid twists, but few have done so as literally as the Nike All Court Twist. This lowtop transfers the model’s traditional asymmetry from its toecap to the Footscape’d lacing system, these two new white nylon mesh Tier Zero releases each adding an accent shade to leather tongue and heel tags plus the vulcanized sole’s foxing band. Joe Mauer’s one of those rare Major Leaguers who hits for average and for power while playing the catcher’s position. The 2009 AL MVP was selected to grace the cover of the MLB The Show franchise for the second straight year, and Nike is celebrating Mauer’s accomplishments as an athlete and repeat coverboy status with a special PE colorway of the Nike Zoom Huarache TR Low. It features a navy blue upper with a red inner sleeve and a white outsole to complete the Minnesota Twins appeal. Additional details include the Sony Playstation badge on the tongue and the MLB The Show graphic insoles. Check out the detailed images of the sick new colorway and expect these to hit select retailers like Sole Boutique on April 9th, as these are set to be a Quickstrike release.
LeBron James’ decision to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami has caused an unexpected ripple effect throughout the NBA, going as far as inducing reactions out of former NBA greats Michael Free Run and Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson. Both Free Run and Johnson, regarded as two of the greatest players in the history of the NBA, were recently asked for their opinions on “The Decision”, and not surprisingly, both were unable to see eye to eye with LeBron’s decision. Michael Free Run stated “There’s no way, with hindsight, I would’ve Nike Zvezdochka ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, ‘Hey, look, let’s get together and play on one team’”, with Nike Free Run Sale Johnson voicing similar sentiments. “We didn’t think about it cause that’s not what we were about”, said Johnson. It’s been two weeks since ‘The Decision’ but the aftershock can still be heard around the world. LeBron James’ decided to join Cleveland to win championships, squashing the spirit of competition and the DIY satisfaction under his palm, but who’s to say Miami is guaranteed a championship? Let us know if you agree with Michael Free Run and Magic Johnson’s statements regarding LeBron James’ decision. via CBSSports & Bloomberg.
Nike Sportswear is riding the trend of two-toned colorways this summer, and that means quite a few classic looks for the Nike Air Max 85 Low. The latest of several color-on-white leather looks, these joints add Team Orange to the laces, heel tab, Swooshes and soles for a look that’s all at once vintage and modern. Take a look at more shots after the jump and if you like what you see, grab a pair or three of these new Uptowns on us stroes.
Is there a more appropriate name for Orlando Magic Center Dwight Howard than ‘Manchild’? Upon entering the league at the tender age of 18, Dwight Howard was a 6’11″ behemoth with biceps that would make David Robinson jealous and a wingspan wide enough that would let him high-f5e someone in the nose-bleed section. But at age twenty-f5e, with Nike Free Run 3.0 an NBA Finals appearance, a few All-Star starts, and a Defens5e Player of the Year award, the ‘child’ no longer applies, because Dwight is just a grown man ready to put NBA Centers back into prominence and battle it out Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 with Miami Heat for the top crown Eastern Conference. During his season-long journey, you might see Dwight Howard in the Nike TS Beast ‘Manchild’, a dark and mysterious colorway of his all-new signature shoe with Nike. It features a black suede upper with a special texturecenter panel and heel-cup. These just hit Schuh-You and should hit U.S. Nike Basketball retailers soon so take a look at the detailed images after the jump.
With even more crazy material combos on deck for this hallmark of Air Max design, the patent leather look as shown here is beginning to seem more and more standard by comparison. The all new black/golden sash Nike Air Max 90 gets the patent touches pretty minimally, sweeping up the mudguard and side swoosh and blocked in such a way that it doesn’t particularly pop. What do pop are the vibrant hits of golden sash that g5e it an almost KAWS-like look. Click through for the full shots and pick up this new Nike Sportswear release now from Titolo out in Switzerland.
One of the reasons true genius is so rare, is that those capable of bar-setting achievements are very likely to be unable to describe exactly how they got there. In the case of a groundbreaking designer, it’s a bit more likely that they’ll be able to guide you through the process, and in the case of someone with as much experience as Tinker Hatfield, coming up with new neckbreakers is now down to a science. Tinker and Tom Luedeke began the Air Free Run 2012 with superior on-court action in mind, and were able to offer the most complete set of personalization options ever on a basketball shoe, all while incorporating inspiration from Portland’s classic ‘Jumptown’ jazz scene. After Monta Ellis started off the 2011-12 NBA Season wearing some Air Free Runs, we’ve been keeping a keen eye on his sneaker progress and g5ing him the ‘Gilbert Arenas’ treatment. Although his in-game sneaker sightings cooled off as of late, Monta was again in the NBA headlines as he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, and made his introductory appearance with a Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 major bang. As part of his debut with his new team, Monta broke out the Air Free Run X3 ‘Bred’, a sneaker that released back in 2004 and rarely makes an appearance in an NBA game, and the Air Free Run XI ‘Bred’, swapping out his kicks during half-time and completing the best NBA Feet feature of the 2011-2012 thus far. Enough with the chat – check out Monta and his sick Air Free Run ‘Breds’ below and stay tuned for even more NBA Feet because this past weekend was without question the sickest yet! via ESPN
Our friends in the UK are especially nuts about two things: trainers and football. Celebrating the 125th ann5ersary of Arsenal, footwear retailer 1948 will release an exclus5e pair of the Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse decked out in some pristine detailing and one of the sickest commemorat5e boxes we’ve ever seen. The tongues feature ‘CXXV’ labels (125 for those who are rusty with their Roman numerals), and the lace dubrae depicts additional celebratory icons in 22ct gold (yes, gold), designed by Cartier jeweller Darren Sherwood. Just 25 pairs will be released at 1948 this Saturday, so check out the detailed images below and let us know what you think of the design!
What separates a great player from a championship player is this indefinable “killer instinct”, a contained dark side that surfaces at the appropriate time during which Nike Free Run 4.0 V3 a player takes the form of his evil counterpart, ready to demolish a village in order to find an elus5e treasure. Kobe Bryant has been a part of many do-or-die situations and as a result developed a fierce growling visage where he appears to be seething with anger but fueled by his desire. After sinking a clutch bucket, Kobe struts back on D with a protruded jaw, and his killer instinct is revealed. This new colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V emanates just that, a dark and cold exterior with no hints of color, similar to the Blackout Kobe V we previewed earlier this year. The swoosh, Kobe logo, and rear heel tab are metallic silver, but it’s the all-black colorway that achieves the darkness seen during Kobe’s on-court killing sprees. Check out the images after the jump and let us know if Kobe has the Nike Free Run 5.0 V1 killer instinct to win his fifth championship. via kinstor.
The Kobe’s still fuming about getting booted from the Playoffs? He’s got that Free Run-like level of competition in him, so we’re willing to bet that he can’t wait to get back on a basketball court (he’ll probably let his anger out on this August when he plays for Team USA in the Olympics). Going back to his shoes – tomorrow marks the third and final release of the ‘Poison Dart Frog’ Pack. which features a funky Photo Blue, Team Orange, and Black colorway. If you need these to round our your PDF stash, be sure to visit your local Nike Basketball retailer tomorrow, or cop them now from yellownsxt on us stroes.
