Nike SB releases have long been classified by their box, marking off the different eras of the Nike Skateboarding venture into easy to distinguish phases. The DJ AM Charity Auction just wrapped up, but his collaborative Nike Dunk High has yet to hit retailers. Let’s take another, closer look at this shoe inspired by Adam Goldstein’s two passions. The reaction to a recently revealed Medium Grey denim Nike Dunk High Premum was decidely positive, and while the look isn’t super-obvious, there was indeed a hint that these are part of a larger Nike Free Run 5.0 V4 collection. They have the same French flag heel loop as these new pinstriped Premium Dunks, an element that adds a silver rooster to prove it’s a part of Nike’s newly unveiled French Football Federation collection. Quite ironic to see the French collection feature a Yankees-like look, but it’s satisfying all the same and you can grab yours today from select Nike Sportswear retailers like Proper.
Supra’s Stevie Williams signature model is back with a couple of bold new colorways in time for spring skating. The Supra S1W arrives at retail in a pattern that no longer qualifies as ‘concealment’, though the neutral shades at play on this blaze-orange lined hightop are certainly capable of blending in with a huge range of outfits. On the opposite end of the spectrum, you have the less visually complex but more aggressive black and red edition, and both are depicted in greater detail below. Gourmet has been at the forefront of a lot of controversy within the sneaker community, are their sneakers dope or are they Nike Free Powerlines just ripping off of Jordan Brand? The third Nike x Footlocker House of Hoops store opened it’s doors yesterday in Chicago, Illinois and what other way to open up a store in the Chi than release some Nike Free Run PE’s, although these can’t compare with last year’s Nike Free Run 3.0 PE’s released at the HOH Harlem, this year’s Nike Free Run Jumpman Team Pro isn’t too Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 bad, considering how hard it is to come by any Jordan Brand PE. Here is the first pair that was released, a Ray Allen (Boston Celtics) PE that features the Celtics’ colors of Black and Green along with Ray’s nickname, Sugar Ray, sewn on the heel. Here’s another release from Lance Armstrong’s impressive ‘Stages’ Collection for Nike. The Nike Air Max 90 LIVESTRONG LAF Air Jordan 1 appears above in the colours you’d expect, black and yellow, plus a little white and grey thrown in to balance the shoe for everyday use. They feature the signature yellow ‘LIVESTRONG’ strip on the tongue tag and insole and a speckled midsole. Like all ‘Stages’ relaeses, proceeds from the sale of this pair will benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation in its fight to against cancer. Nike Sportswear has established itself a formidable player in the lifestyle footwear game, pumping out products unlike its performance-driven designs and opting for selections more fitting for high-end fashion while implementing some of its most prized technological findings. The Nike Air Ralston Mid Lite is the perfect example of the marriage between style and function, as it features a design inspired by the classic desert boot and wallabee while keeping comfort in mind (that’s a Nike Free-inspired outsole supporting the upper). Here’s another look at the upcoming Nike Free Run CMFT Viz Air 13; although it is inspired by the Nike Free Run 13 (given by the nylon upper and heeltab), you can’t help but attribute this particular colorway to the Nike Free Run 11 ‘Bred’ due to the black patent leather mudguard and the translucent red outsole. These new images shed light on a few more details of the CMFT 13 that are shared with the AJ13, like the shape of the mudguard and the heel panel. Perhaps the use of a small jewel similar to the panther eye or the ‘JORDAN’ tab found on the base of the lace placket would’ve solidified these as a true Nike Free Run 13-inspired release, but time will tell if any changes will be made. The upcoming Nike Free Run 5 ‘Cool Grey’ isn’t an OG colorway of the Nike Free Run 5, but it is indeed a Retro release that came out when Michael was still playing (albeit for the Nike Free Run 5.0 Wizards). Not many remember, but Jordan wore the Cool Grey IX for a few games when he was with the Wizards, scattered among a slew of other Jordan Retros like the Cool Grey XI and True Blue III. This Holiday season, Jordan Brand brings back another healthy dose of Cool Grey in ‘IX’ form, and we’re sure these will be copped aplenty just off the ‘Cool Grey’ excitement. In 2004, Nike put out one of their last Air Force 1 HTM (‘H’ is Hiroshi Fujiwara, ‘T’ is Tinker Hatfield and ‘M’ is Mark Parker) projects with the black all croc and white all croc Air Force 1s. Nike also put together an additional all croc in brown with the Fragment logo and a black pair was also produced with the Fragment logo. Now four years later, Nike is potentially releasing the two versions that feature the Fragment logo on the side heel. Denim and Sole just told us that these two colorways might be dropping late Summer 2008. They have several sizes of both colorways now.
Nike SB’s May 2011 collection of Dunk Pro releases is among the most heat-laden in recent memory. You’ve got the ‘Space Jam’ and ‘Aqua’ colorways inspired by beloved Nike Free Run releases, and while the Seattle Seahawks/Finlandia edition dropped earlier than expected, there’s this new Nike Dunk SB High Premium ready to hit shelves next month as well. These joints feature Nike Free Run 3 a unique Deep Burgundy and Aquamarine colorway that seems somehow ‘classic’ and yet we can’t quite place it. In 1996, Michael Jordan and the nearly unstoppable 72-10 Chicago Bulls took down Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp and the now defunct Seattle Supersonics in six games to capture their fourth NBA Championship. A few weeks ago, we showed you a preview of the upcoming Supersonics editions from the ongoing Nike Free Run 2 Low Phat Championship Packs, and now Womens Nike Free Run 3 0 V4 we get some better looks at both the home and away colorways. The midsoles Nike Footscape Free that looked so dark in the original pics are more visibly green in these images, giving the shoes much more of a Sonics feel. It’s well-documented that the idea of Nike Free Run Fusions is a touchy subject with a lot of sneakerheads, but in this case, some of you might have a slightly better reaction to this Nike Free Run 5.0 V1 latest Nike Free Run hybrid. This remote controlled Camaro has been customized to take on the characteristics of the Fire Red Nike Free Run 3, from the layout and color-blocking, right down to some panels of Elephant print wrapping around the hood and trunk areas. This is not the first time that the similarities between car and sneaker design has been so evident, but this example certainly shows off a pretty seamless transition. To really make this concept legit, actual laces have been included across the roof section and even a mock Nike Free Run hangtag has been created with the Jumpman logo holding a Chevy symbol instead of a basketball. Black and Yellow has been owned by the LIVEstrong camp for the last few years, but with no true Jordan Brand x LIVEstrong release, we can only think of ‘Thunder and Lightning’. So had these Spiz’ike samples released (originally intended for Spring/Summer 2012), the ‘Thunder’ moniker would’ve followed suit rather seamlessly, would it not? Black/Yellow Nike Free Runs are fairly few and far in-between, so there’s no doubt these Jordan Spiz’ike ‘Thunders’ would’ve been a hot pick. You can, however, add these to your collection, because this crispy pair of size 9 samples just became available from oregonsole on stores online.
